George

 GEORGE

George arrived at our Sanctuary in 2000. He is a male Patas monkey, 5 years of age. George was surrendered by his previous owner, due to a move that could not allow George to go.
Upon his arrival, the veterinarian certificate stated his weight: 6 pounds. Since his arrival, George weighs in at 22 pounds. George was castrated at an early age so he will never develop the muscle mass of an intact animal.
George came from New Jersey. As a baby George was bought in Florida, from Parrot Jungle, I was told by his owner. George is a cage mate to Gabby, a 7 year old Patas male.
