Zach, a male rhesus, came to Mindy's Memory on February 2, 2005.
Zach and a female stumptail macaque named Pearl, were part of a
December confiscation in a major abuse case. The two monkeys were
seized with more than 90 other animals from a rural residence northeast
of Suiox City, Iowa. Fourteen dead animals were also found. The
monkeys were living in feces and urine-soaked wire cages with no
food, no water and no adequate shelter. Zach and Pearl were brought
to Mindy's by the Animal Rescue League of Iowa to live out their
lives in this monkey heaven. Zach is now in enjoying his new life
with our three female rhesus , Katy One, Katy Two and Ginger, in
a cage that is enormous. Zach will never be hungry or dirty or lonely
or cold again. Please help Pearl and Zach and all the monkeys by
visiting our "Wild Thing" page and sponsoring one of these
special animals for as little as ten dollars a month. |
